Rounding Decimals

 

 

1.   Write down the number

2.   Count out the required number of decimal places to the right of the decimal point.

3.   Underline this figure.

4.   Look at the number to the right of this:-

 

         If it is 5 or more, increase your underlined digit by 1.

        If it is less than 5, leave your underlined digit alone.

 

5.   Write out your number, as far as the underlined digit.

Include brackets with the number of decimal places shown.

    

Do not add any other numbers
